APPOINTMENT FAQ’S
IS THERE A BOOKING DEPOSIT?
- All appointments require a deposit of £50 for hourly sessions and £100 for day sessions. These deposits must be paid at time of booking.
CAN I GET A REFUND?
- No, all deposits are non-refundable. You artist spends time and effort on creating an amazing design for you and the deposit covers this!
CAN I RESCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?
- If you need to reschedule your appointment, we need to know at least 48 hours in advance.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T TURN UP FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
- If you don’t turn up, or call to reschedule your appointment last minute, your deposit will be forfeited. This is because we do not charge you for the design, drawing up and stencil time.

PAPERWORK FAQ’S
WHAT AGE DO I HAVE TO BE?
- We do not tattoo anybody under the legal age of 18 years old.
DO I NEED TO BRING ID WITH ME?
- If you look young, or if we are unsure, we will require photographic evidence such as your passport or driving licence (a provisional licence will be accepted). A note from your mum is not considered to be proof of age!
TATTOO CONSENT FORM
- You will be required to fill out a tattoo consent form that does include a medical checklist. We need this for our records. No consent form, no tattoo. No exceptions.
SIGN OFF ON YOUR DESIGN
- You will be required to sign-off your design. This means that you are happy to be tattooed as per the design and accept the full responsibility for checking dates, names, spellings and translations (if applicable).
AFTERCARE FORM
- You will also be supplied with an aftercare form. It is your responsibility to read through it and make sure you understand it BEFORE leaving the parlour. This is the time to ask questions – but we are on hand during opening hours if you need anything from us further down the line.

TATTOO AFTERCARE
HOW LONG SHOULD I COVER IT?
- Keep the tattoo covered for AT LEAST 1 to 2 hours.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WASH IT?
- Wash the tattoo gently 2 -3 times per day with gentle, unscented soap and warm water.
PLASMA PREVENTION
- Take steps to prevent plasma from crusting on top of your tattoo. If it does appear, gently wash the area with soap and warm water until it disappears.
STAY AWAY FROM SUN AND HEAT
- Keep out of the sun, and stay away from heat and chlorine. These three things will dry out the skin and lengthen the healing process.
WHAT OINTMENT SHOULD I USE?
- We only recommend oil or oil-based ointment for first 3 days. Our personal favourite is El Gato Negro Balm, as this settles into the skin where your tattoo is situated. We would not recommend using creams such as Bepanthen or Sudocrem. These are really only suitable for surface treatments – they’re for nappy rash, not tattoos!
- After the first 3 days, keep your skin moisturised with all natural lotion. Better still, keep using the El Gato Negro Balm, twice a day. A little goes a long way, so use the lotion sparingly.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY TATTOO?
- If you’re experiencing ANY problems with your new tattoo, contact us immediately. You can call the parlour on 01245 690 290, email us via [email protected], or DM us on social media (our handle is @harryflashmans).
CONSULTATIONS
Consultations are free. However, we do ask that you call to make an appointment and bring with you as much reference material as you can (you can either print it out or email it to us during the appointment).
If you are seeking a realism piece from us, please bring real pictures of what you might be after, not a tattoo version of the design. This will insure that a full design brief can be completed correctly, and give us the tools we need to provide you with the best bespoke tattoo we can.
As far as we’re concerned, we can never have enough reference material, so please bring as much as you can.
