Hair Removal

Laser hair removal

Laser hair removal is a safe and effective way to achieve long-term hair reduction. The treatment works by targeting the pigment in the hair follicle, using light energy to heat and damage it, which slows and reduces future hair growth, without harming the surrounding skin.

Consultation & Patch Test

Before starting treatment, we carry out a full consultation to assess your skin and hair type, ensure suitability, and discuss your goals. A patch test is required to check how your skin responds to the treatment. We’ll also advise you on how to prepare for your sessions. We also require a minimum 48-hour wait after your patch test before your first full session.

Treatment

During your appointment, a handheld device is passed over the skin, delivering controlled pulses of light to the hair follicles. Treatments are generally quick and designed to be as comfortable as possible, depending on the area being treated.

Treatment Plan

Hair grows in cycles, so multiple sessions are needed to effectively target all follicles. Treatments are spaced a minimum of 4 weeks apart (6-8 weeks preferable), and we’ll create a personalised plan based on your hair growth and the area being treated.

Deposits & Cancellation Policy

A £20 deposit is required to book your consultation and patch test, which will be deducted from the cost of your first treatment.

All laser tattoo removal treatments require a 50% deposit to secure your appointment.

We require at least 72 hours’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling of treatments, and 24 hours’ notice for consultations/patch tests. Failure to attend or provide sufficient notice will result in your deposit being forfeited.

Aftercare & Results

You may experience slight redness or sensitivity after each session, which usually settles quickly. Over time, hair becomes finer, softer, and grows back more slowly. Following the recommended aftercare and treatment schedule is key to achieving the best results

FAQ

Is laser hair removal permanent?

Laser hair removal significantly reduces hair growth long-term, but it is not always 100% permanent. Most clients experience a major reduction in hair growth, with any regrowth being finer, lighter, and much slower. Occasional maintenance sessions may be needed.

Most clients require 6–8 sessions for optimal results, spaced around 4–8 weeks apart depending on the treatment area and hair growth cycle. Some areas may need additional maintenance sessions.

Discomfort levels vary depending on the area being treated and individual sensitivity. Most clients describe the sensation as a quick “snapping” feeling. It is generally well tolerated and far less painful than waxing.

Yes. You should shave the treatment area 12-24 hours before your appointment. Do not wax, pluck, or use epilators, as the laser needs the hair follicle to be present to work effectively.

There is no downtime. You may experience mild redness or warmth in the treated area for a few hours after your session, but this usually settles quickly and you can return to normal activities immediately.

Laser hair removal is suitable for most skin types, but effectiveness depends on hair colour and skin tone. It works best on darker hair. A consultation is always carried out first to ensure suitability and safety.

No. You must avoid sunbeds and tanning for at least 30-days before and after treatment. Please ensure that all fake tan is removed at least 3-days prior to treatment. This reduces the risk of skin irritation and ensures the laser targets the hair safely.

Yes, shaving is allowed and recommended between sessions. You should avoid waxing, plucking, or epilating as these remove the hair follicle and reduce treatment effectiveness. We also highly recommend exfoliating regularly to let the hair shed off.

Most clients notice a reduction in hair growth after 2–3 sessions, with significant results visible after completing a full course of treatments.

No, the consultation and patch test fee is non-refundable, as it covers the time, assessment, and testing required. If you are suitable for treatment and choose to go ahead, this fee will be credited towards your first laser session.

booking

how to book

To get started with laser hair removal, you’ll first need to book a consultation and patch test. This is required before any treatment can go ahead. To book, simply get in touch with the studio and we’ll arrange a suitable time for you. A deposit is required to secure your appointment, which will be deducted from your first treatment.

Before your appointment, it’s important that the area has had no sun exposure for at least 30 days. During your visit, we’ll assess your goals, check medical suitability, and carry out your patch test.
