Laser tattoo removal is a safe and effective way to gradually fade or fully remove unwanted tattoos. It works by using targeted laser energy to break down ink particles in the skin, allowing your body to naturally clear them over time.
Consultation & Patch Test
Your journey starts with a consultation to assess your tattoo and ensure you are medically suitable for treatment. This includes a patch test, carried out in line with regulations, to see how your skin reacts to the laser. You must avoid sun exposure for at least 30 days before and after your patch test and each treatment. We also require a minimum 7-day wait after your patch test before your first full session.
Treatment
During each session, the laser is passed over the tattoo to target the ink beneath the skin. The sensation is often described as a quick snapping feeling against the skin, and treatment time depends on the size of the tattoo.
Healing & Results
After each session, your body gradually breaks down and removes the ink particles. Multiple sessions are needed, spaced out to allow proper healing and the best results.
Deposits & Cancellation Policy
A £20 deposit is required to book your consultation and patch test, which will be deducted from the
cost of your first treatment.
All laser tattoo removal treatments require a 50% deposit to secure your appointment.
We require at least 72 hours’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling of treatments, and 24
hours’ notice for consultations/patch tests. Failure to attend or provide sufficient notice will result
in your deposit being forfeited.

How many sessions will I need?
This varies depending on the tattoo, including size, colour, age, and depth of ink. Your skin, health and lifestyle also contribute to how effective each treatment is. Most tattoos require multiple sessions.
Can all tattoos be removed?
Most tattoos can be significantly faded or removed, but some colours (like greens and blues) can be more challenging. We’ll assess this during your consultation and give honest expectations.
How long do I need to wait between sessions?
Treatments are spaced 6 weeks apart to allow your skin to heal and your body to break down the ink properly.
Why do I need a patch test?
A patch test is required to ensure your skin reacts safely to the laser and to confirm you’re suitable for treatment. We must wait at least 7 days after your patch test before your first session.
Is the consultation & patch test fee refundable?
No, the consultation and patch test fee is non-refundable, as it covers the time, assessment, and testing required. If you are suitable for treatment and choose to go ahead, this fee will be credited towards your first laser session.
Can I have laser removal if I’ve been in the sun?
No, you must avoid sun exposure for at least 30 days before and after your patch test and each treatment. This is essential for safety and to reduce the risk of complications.
Are there any side effects?
You may experience redness, swelling, or slight blistering after treatment, which is a normal part of the healing process. We’ll guide you through aftercare to minimise any risks.
Will it leave a scar?
When carried out properly and with correct aftercare, scarring is very unlikely. However, pre existing scarring from the original tattoo may still be visible.
Can I lighten a tattoo for a cover-up?
Yes, laser is often used to fade tattoos to make them easier to cover. We can tailor your treatment plan depending on your end goal.
What happens if I miss an appointment?
We require notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Missed appointments or late changes may result in loss of your deposit (see policies for full details).
